2 kids, disabled woman missing in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif.

Marie Williams, 25, Sarah White, 8, and Nicholas Sanders, 6, left an apartment complex near Santa Fe Avenue and Spring Street at about 4:45 p.m. Saturday. Police say Williams has a mild mental retardation and has a maturity level of an 8 year old.

The three walked down the street to a fast food restaurant, where they were turned away because it was closing time around 6 p.m. They were last seen walking northbound on Santa Fe Avenue.

Police said they were spotted around midnight getting off a train at Willow Street and Long Beach Boulevard in Long Beach.

"We're not about to rest, we're going to keep looking, we're going to keep fighting as much as we can until we get them home," said Munisha DeJohnette, an aunt of the missing girl.

The three, all of whom are African American, are not related. Williams lives at the Long Beach apartment complex. Sanders also lives at the complex with his family. White is from the Palmdale area and was in Long Beach with her mother, who was visiting a friend at the apartment complex.

Williams is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a turquoise short-sleeve shirt, capris jeans and dark tennis shoes.

White is described as 4 feet tall, weighing about 45 pounds with braided hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white short-sleeve shirt, jeans with pink and black tennis shoes with embedded wheels, known as "Heely" shoes.

Sanders is described as 4 feet tall, 50 pounds with short hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a green and blue long-sleeve button-down shirt with jeans and black tennis shoes.

If you have any information about their whereabouts, you're urged to call 911.
