George H. W. Bush documentary debuts in Maine

KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine

The elder Bush said it's a good thing his mother wasn't around for the premiere of the HBO documentary about his life. He said his mom taught him to avoid talking about himself and the film "41" features Bush in his own words.

Bush, who turned 88 on Tuesday, has spent at least part of every summer since childhood in Kennebunkport, except when he served as a naval aviator during World War II. He has a summer home in the Maine coastal town.

The Maine coast and the Bush home play prominent roles in the movie. According to the Portland Press Herald, Bush was asked what he was most proud about. His response was, "The fact that my kids all still come home."
