Hotel germs: TV remotes, lamp switches among hot spots - study

It's not just bacteria in toilets and bathroom sinks you need to worry about when you check into a hotel room.

A new study finds television remotes and bedside lamp switches may just be as contaminated.

Researchers said part of the problem is bacteria found on sponges and mops that housekeepers use.

The lowest levels of contamination were found on bed headboards, curtain rods and bathroom door handles.
