Levitated Mass exhibit debuts at LACMA

The 340-ton boulder made the journey from Riverside County to Los Angeles in March to become part of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's "Levitated Mass" art exhibit.

Check out the boulder's entire route from Riverside to LACMA.

The massive rock was taken from a Riverside quarry and hauled more than 100 miles through 22 cities. As part of the exhibit, the boulder will be positioned to appear as if it's floating.

A public dedication ceremony was held at 11 a.m. The museum is offering free admission through July 1 to residents in communities through which the boulder passed. Residents must show proof of living in a zip code along the route.
