Simi Valley 7-Eleven robbed at gunpoint; 2 men sought

Simi Valley police are searching for two suspects who allegedly robbed a 7-Eleven store early Monday morning.

The incident happened around 3:45 a.m. at the store on the 2600 block of E. Cochran Street. Authorities said the clerk, 59-year-old Pelpita Perera, called police saying that he had just been robbed at gunpoint.

Perera said two men entered the store, and one of them was armed with a handgun. They demanded money and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. No shots were fired and no one was hurt.

Police set up a perimeter to search for the suspects, but they were not located. Anyone with information about the crime was asked to contact Simi Valley Police Department detectives at (805) 583-6950.
