'Death warrant' homeless stabbings: Charges filed

LOS ANGELES

Courtney Anthony Robinson, 37, was charged with three counts of attempted murder with personal use of a knife and great bodily injury allegations. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.

Robinson was arrested on Friday night after he called 911 to turn himself in.

Prosecutors say he stabbed three homeless people in the back while they were sleeping in three separate incidents. All the victims survived. Robinson allegedly left notes at the scene, which police called "death warrants."

Prosecutors will ask that Robinson's bail be set at $3 million. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
