Glassell Park house fire: man's body found in bathtub

GLASSELL PARK, LOS ANGELES

A 464-square-foot rear house was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived just after 1 a.m. Crews knocked the flames down in 20 minutes.

The body of a 33-year-old man was discovered in the bathtub inside the home, officials said. The victim's identity has not been released.

A two-story house next door was damaged in the fire, along with a carport and shed. It was not immediately known if there were functional smoke alarms.

The cause of the fire reamins under investigation.
