Alabama girl with cerebral palsy walks at graduation

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.

Six-year-old cerebral palsy patient Emma Collins walked on her own across a stage at her very own graduation ceremony.

Collins was born prematurely and given 18 months to live. But last year she gave up her canes and reached an incredible milestone.

"I didn't want to hold on to anybody's hand," the girl said. "I just wanted to walk by myself."

Collins' mom said she can't wait to see what her daughter will accomplish next.
