Ex-Cudahy city manager pleads guilty to bribery charges

LOS ANGELES

Angel Perales made his plea Tuesday in federal court.

Prosecutors say he, along with former Mayor David Silva and former City Council member Osvaldo Conde, solicited and accepted bribes in return for their support of a new medical marijuana dispensary in the city.

Silva and Conde are expected to plead guilty on Thursday. Each of the three men faces up to 30 years in prison and a $500,000 fine at sentencing.
