Cudahy City Council to temporarily appoint replacement for one vacated seat

CUDAHY, Calif.

Remaining members said Tuesday they'll appoint a replacement for one of the vacant seats. That means the council will have just four active members until March when an election will determine both open spots.

Former Mayor David Silva and former Councilman Osvaldo Conde have admitted they took bribes of up to $17,000 in exchange for their support of a medical marijuana dispensary.

Both have resigned, along with former City Manager Angel Perales.
