Fugitive Fillmore murder suspect arrested

FILLMORE, Calif.

Sunday at 9:45 p.m., deputies arrested 30-year-old Fillmore resident Daniel Nuno for the fatal shooting of Ricardo Gonzalez, a 41-year-old Oxnard man.

Nuno was booked at the sheriff's pre-trial detention facility. He was held on $755,000 bond. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Ventura County Superior Court on Aug. 14.

The shooting happened on the 900 block of Lewis Lane on Thursday night.

Neighbors called 911 at about 9:45 p.m. When deputies arrived, they found Gonzalez in the front yard of a residence. Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head.
