Azusa kidnap-attempt suspect at large; sketch released by Sheriff's Dept.

AZUSA, Calif.

A 14-year-old girl was walking in a residential neighborhood Wednesday when a man in his 30s driving a 2-door white pickup truck pulled up near Orangecrest Avenue and Citrus Edge Street. The suspect reached out of his truck and attempted to grab the victim. She ran away. The suspect drove off.

On Saturday, July 28, a 16-year-old girl was walking with two friends near Orkney Street and Fenimore Avenue. A suspect matching the same description driving the same type of truck as above attempted to grab the teen. The victim punched the suspect and ran away. The suspect drove away.

Deputies are looking for a Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s, with dark hair. He was driving a white Nissan pickup truck, possibly a 2004 Frontier. It may have had a black tool box in the bed.
