The deputy was responding to assist another deputy when he got into a single-vehicle crash near 92nd Street and Normandie Avenue.
The deputy, whose identity has not been released, was escorted by several squad cars to UCLA-Harbor Medical Center. His injuries are non-life threatening.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
