The African elephant herd at the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park just got a little bigger with the birth of a female calf early Tuesday morning.

The calf is said to be healthy and was up and walking on her own very quickly. She weighs 205 pounds.

Her mother is the leader of the park's herd, which contains a dozen elephants.

She's the second calf born to an African elephant called Swazi and brings the number of elephants at the park to 13 elephants, including nine youngsters.

The new calf has yet to be named.
