Cal State faculty approve 4-year contract

LOS ANGELES

The new deal ends years of contentious bargaining with the administration. California Faculty Association president Lillian Taiz says the contract won 91 percent of approval by voting members.

CSU officials said the new contract largely preserves current working conditions and contains no salary raises for the system's 23,000 professors, lecturers and other employees.

The CSU faculty has been working without a contract for over two years.
