Christian Bale recently made a little boy's wish come true - Jayden Barber, a 4-year-old boy battling cancer, got to meet Batman, who flew him and his family to Disneyland in California.

The trip came about after a Facebook page called "Lighting the Batsignal for Jayden" was created in a bid to help Barker meet "the real Batman," who Bale had played in Christopher Nolan's film trilogy, the most recent being "The Dark Knight Rises."

Barber's mother, Charlene, posted photos of her son, family members and Bale posing inside Disneyland's exclusive Club 33 on Friday. Two weeks prior, the group and Bale, his wife and his daughter had lunch at the venue, the resort's members-only restaurant that is located in the New Orleans Square section of the theme park.

"Finally can share!!! Christian sent us to LA and we had lunch at Disney club 33 on wed!! He and his family were so awesome and down to earth!!!" Barber's mother, Charlene, said in a message posted on the "Lighting the Batsignal for Jayden" Facebook page.

"Jayden did not get star struck but was well aware of who we were with!" Barber's mother added. "They talked movies and super Heros an he was genuinely happy to hear about everything Jayden wanted to tell him. Christian, his wife and daughter are three of the most beautiful people we have ever met! (sic)"

"Christian made these arrangements for us personally and ensured we were treated like royalty," she said, "I don't have even one negative thing to say about them. I can tell you that they were just as impressed w Jayden as Jayden was w them :)"

One of her friends had contacted Bale's publicist to help organize the trip. She said on her own Facebook page that the actor is "an extremely compassionate man."

Barber, who lives with his family in Ohio, was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma bone cancer in January 2010 and underwent 14 rounds of chemotherapy. A year later, he was diagnosed with another form of cancer called MDS leukemia, which is harder to treat and was caused by his earlier chemo, his mother said on her Facebook page.

She said Barber underwent an unsuccessful bone marrow transplant in February and received white blood cell transfusions to treat his cancer. He is currently in remission, according to Ohio-based ABC affiliate station WYTV 33, which also added that the boy turns 5 on September 17.

News about Bale's Disneyland outing with Barber's family comes more than a month after the 38-year-old actor made headlines by making a personal visit to Aurora, Colorado to meet with several survivors of the deadly mass shooting that took place at a midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" in July.

UPDATE: On May 18, Jayden's father said on his Facebook page that the boy tested negative for cancer and leukemia. The family is also expecting a third son.
