Lake Los Angeles bust nets $3M+ in marijuana

LAKE LOS ANGELES, Calif.

The farm was discovered by a Los Angeles deputy patrolling near 57th Street East and Avenue E.

The marijuana was being grown in two large wooden enclosures. In all, nearly 1,000 plants were found, and police say they were 6-8 feet tall and capable of producing over a pound of marijuana each.

The estimated street value of the plants was more than $3 million.

One suspect, Abdul Jamar, was taken into custody for growing marijuana. Jamar was arrested by the same deputy for the same thing in June.
