Police seek Ventura bank robbery suspect

VENTURA, Calif.

Ventura Police received a report of a bank robbery in progress at 12:49 a.m. A suspect walked into a Pacific Western Bank branch at 480 S. Mills Road and handed a note to the teller indicating he was robbing the bank.

The teller handed the man an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the bank and walked toward a neighboring business complex.

Police were unable to locate the suspect. The FBI is assisting in the investigation.

No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his late 50s, standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a straw cowboy hat and colored sunglasses.
