Orange hit-and-run injures 9-year-old girl

ORANGE, Calif.

The incident happened around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday. Police said a 9-year-old girl and her 10-year-old brother were crossing the street. They got about five feet into the crosswalk when a car ran a red light and sideswiped the girl.

According to police, witnesses saw the driver hesitate and then disappear down the road. The girl's face was bruised. She was taken to the hospital for treatment. Her brother wasn't hurt.

Police said they're looking for a dark-colored sedan with a broken or damaged window on the passenger side.
