Colorado shooting suspect to submit palm print, DNA

CENTENNIAL, Colo.

James Holmes, 24, is charged with 152 counts in the July shooting that left 12 people dead and 58 others wounded.

Prosecutors say they need the evidence to compare with a print found inside a theater exit door and a DNA sample to compare with other evidence collected at the scene.

The judge on Friday denied Holmes' attorneys' request for sanctions against prosecutors for "reckless disregard for the truth" for statements about threats and being banned from a university campus.
