San Bernardino residents warned of kidnap suspect

The San Bernardino Sheriff's Department is warning residents about a string of attempted kidnappings.

The most recent incident took place in Highland on Wednesday near Sterling Avenue and Baseline Street. Authorities say an 11-year-old girl was walking home from school when a man grabbed her from behind. The girl managed to get away.

The suspect is described as possibly Hispanic man, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 160-170 pounds, wearing a black facial covering. He was last seen driving a dark-colored full-size van.
