No correlation between HPV shots and promiscuity - study says

CHICAGO

Researchers compared the medical records of 1400 vaccinated and unvaccinated girls in Atlanta, Georgia and looked for markers of sexual activity. The study's authors examined whether girls had sought birth control advice, tests for sexually transmitted diseases or pregnancy.

The study found no correlation between the HPV shots that protect against cervical cancer and promiscuity.

The HPV vaccine is recommended for girls and boys between age 11 and 12.
