Teens carrying unopened bottles of beer injured in Santa Ana hit-and-run crash

SANTA ANA, Calif.

The boys, ages 15, 16 and 18, were in an unmarked crosswalk at Fifth and Susan streets when they were struck by a gray Honda two-door coupe. Police don't think the victims were drinking, but they were carrying unopened bottles of beer. The victims were transported to area hospitals and are said to be in critical but stable condition.

Authorities say the suspect's vehicle was found ditched at Fifth and Figueroa streets and it had damage consistent with the collision.

Police are looking for a Hispanic man in his early 20s wearing a baseball cap in connection with the crash. If you have any information that can help investigators, call Santa Ana police at (714) 245-8665.
