A Long Beach church was partially red-tagged after a car crashed through a wall.

The incident happened in the 5900 block of Linden Avenue at about 11:41 p.m. Wednesday. Long Beach police say the driver lost control of the car and slammed through the wall of The Church of Christ.

The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators are looking into whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The vehicle was nearly entirely inside the church. A tow truck was able to pull the mangled car out.
