OTRC: Stephen Nichols, Jessica Heap, leaving 'The Young and the Restless?'

Are Stephen Nichols and Jessica Heap leaving the CBS soap opera "The Young and the Restless?"

The two are set to say goodbye to Genoa City, Soap Opera Uncensored reported in a recent issue, according to TV Guide. Spokespeople for the Heap and CBS had no immediate comment.

UPDATE: A rep for Nichols confirmed to OTRC.com that the actor is leaving "The Young and the Restless." No further details were provided.

Nichols, who has played millionaire and business tycoon Tucker McCall since December 2009, has already taped his final episode, according to the report, which was posted online on December 21.

Just two days earlier, Nichols, 61, promoted on his Twitter page an upcoming episode of "The Young and the Restless," Tweeting: "It's been a while since we got to say this but....Tucker Time tomorrow!! #YR"

Nichols is a veteran soap star. He played Stefan Cassadine on the ABC daytime series "General Hospital" and starred as Steve "Patch" Johnson on NBC's "Days of Our Lives" before he was cast on "The Young and the Restless."

Heap, 29, has played Eden Baldwin on "The Young and the Restless" since last year. She has also appeared on an episode of "CSI: Miami" and starred in movies such as the 2011 sci-fi flick "Battle Los Angeles" and the 2012 comedy "Spring Break '83."
