Local candy shops, bakeries offer gourmet treats for your sweet tooth

LOS ANGELES

Sweet E's Bake Shop on Robertson and Pico boulevards will whip up that ideal dessert table for your upcoming holiday party. They will design it for you, bake it up and also ship it.

"Holiday time is definitely the sweetest time of the year for us and the busiest time of the year," said owner Erica Tucker.

The new chocolate chip cookie stuffed with your favorite candy bar is a party favorite. Or treat your guests to chocolate drizzled popcorn and petite cake pops in holiday-themed designs and flavors.

"We also have a white chocolate champagne cake pop that is super yummy, and of course, gingerbread," said Tucker.

The new Loews Hotel in Hollywood has taken the whole chocolate-on-the-pillow concept to a whole new level. Book a stay inside their one-of-a-kind sweet suite, where guests are practically guaranteed to have sweet dreams.

"The suite sweet was designed especially for families with over 100 pounds of candy between these walls...and much, much more, including candy games, candy soda, even candy in the mini bar," said Jennifer Duffy with Loews Hotel.

Overnight guests will receive a $100 gift card to purchase even more candy and souvenirs, and of course, all the sticky candy you can eat and a five-pound Wonka bar.

The Sweet! suite was inspired and designed by the new mega-candy store located inside the Hollywood & Highland Center.

Sweet! Hollywood is 30,000-square-feet filled with all things candy, such as interactive candy games and tasting machines. There are sticky candy makers from Australia to bring you handmade, personalized treats. You can also build your very own candy bar at the chocolate lab. It's a sweet tooth dream come true.
