Police say a woman woke up Thursday to find a man in her home on the 8500 block of Magnolia Avenue. He fled when she called police.
Investigators say the break-in may be related to similar, nearby incidents. Neighborhood watch volunteers are spreading the word.
"If you are a senior citizen, single and a woman it's scary. We posted notes out, went out to the neighbors last night, let them know what is going on. So we're on high alert now," said one resident.
Neighbors say they're installing more secure doors and also cutting down shrubs so an intruder can't use them to hide from view.
