'Bachelor' Sean Lowe sees darker side of bachelorettes

LOS ANGELES

Lowe only got to see what the women wanted him to see while filming the show. Only now is he getting a peek into the darker side to some of the bachelorettes.

"I had no idea, especially such at an early phase in this whole journey of ours. That's one of the great things about watching this unfold on TV. I was oblivious to this when I was going through it, and now I'm getting to see the other sides of their personalities," said Lowe. "There were a couple of women that were really sweet and kind and loving when they were with me, and when they're not with me, they're a totally different person. So in that sense, I felt very betrayed."

Hopefully, Lowe was able to cut through the crazy on his quest to find true love. He knows the track record for the show is not a strong one, but he sounds like the hopeful romantic.

"I'm very happy with the outcome. This entire journey was so much more than I anticipated. A lot of ups and downs, it was physically exhausting at times, but I think I'm a better man coming out on the other end and I couldn't be happier with where I am right now," said Lowe.

And where he is, for much of the time on this show anyway, is shirtless.

"I go with it. I knew when I signed up for this that they might ask me to take my shirt off from time to time and, you know, if that's one of their requirements, I'm OK with it," he said.
