Authorities responded to the accident north of North Orange Street and Pioneer Avenue at about 9:30 a.m. A city spokesman says the minivan was carrying eight people. Two men and a woman who were inside were declared dead at the scene.
Six other men, including the driver of the commercial van, were rushed to local hospitals with major injuries.
The victims' names have not been released.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. Investigators say six people in the minivan were not wearing their seatbelts.
