Sheared hydrant from car crash floods Beverly Hills streets

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.

The Friday night crash sent water shooting hundreds of feet into the air and onto a home. The family that lives there had to be helped out by firefighters.

Neighbors who were asleep came out to see what had shaken them from their beds.

It took a few hours to shut the water off. Authorities say the crash was just a case of bad driving.

There was no word on damage to the home, but the sheared hydrant did cause a lot of flooding in the neighborhood.
