Justin Timberlake to perform at Grammy Awards

LOS ANGELES

The Recording Academy made the announcement on Wednesday. The 32-year-old star returned to music earlier this month when he released the single, "Suit & Tie," which features Jay-Z. The song is a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Timberlake's performance at the Grammys will be the singer's first musical appearance on TV in years. His recent projects have been in movies like "The Social Network" and "Friends With Benefits."

His third solo album, "The 20/20 Experience," is slated to be released March 19. His last album, "FutureSex/LoveSounds," was released in 2006 and went multiplatinum.

Other performers include Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, The Black Keys, FUN., The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Jack White, Elton John and Ed Sheeran.

LL Cool J will host the 55th annual Grammy Awards, which airs live from Staples Center on Sunday, Feb. 10.
