Authorities say the suspect walked in to the Smoke Shop Plus in the 400 block of North Ventura Avenue just before 10 p.m. He pointed a knife at the clerk as he demanded money, and he also raised his shirt to expose a handgun.
The suspect took miscellaneous tobacco products from behind the counter before he fled. Police say no one was injured in the incident, and no money was taken.
The man, who was wearing all black clothing and a bandana covering his face, was last seen running toward Prospect Street.
