The incident happened around noon last Friday at the Motel 6 in the 3900 block of West Florida Avenue.
Investigators say Elsie Grace of Desert Hot Springs was in a motel room with her son and their two dogs when she was attacked in what police called a horrific accident.
The dogs were removed by animal control officials.
