Sun Valley High School bungalow catches fire; causes $750K in damage

SUN VALLEY, Calif.

Firefighters responded to the 9100 block of Telfair Avenue around 1:15 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities said the blaze began in a storage facility inside a two-classroom bungalow and quickly spread to the attic of the building.

The room contained filming supplies and art equipment.

It took more than 50 firefighters over 30 minutes to knock down the flames.

Damage was estimated at $500,000 to the structure and $250,000 to contents.

No information on whether the fire will affect classes Monday has been released.
