Lytle Creek fire forces camp site evacuations

A forest fire in Lytle Creek forced campers from their remote camp sites, but there were no injuries.

Firefighters from the U.S. Forest Service and San Bernardino County Fire jumped on the blaze quickly and battled the flames for three hours on Saturday. Crews on the ground got help from a water-dropping helicopter.

Firefighters evacuated a couple of camp sites and everyone got out safely. The brushfire charred a total of about 5 acres.
