Female journalist killed by gunmen in Somalia

MOGADISHU, Somalia

Two men armed with pistols opened fire on 25-year-old Rahmo Abdulqadir Farah in Mogadishu, according to Abdikarim Ahmed Bulhan, the director of Abudwak radio.

Somalia is one of the world's most dangerous places for journalists. Last year, 18 media workers were killed, mostly in targeted murders.

The government promised to take action against those who kill journalists, but so far, no arrests have been made for any of the journalist deaths in 2012.
