The alleged victims claim the workers slipped drugs into their drinks and then sexually assaulted them. One woman is a married mother of three; the other is a lesbian who had never before had sex with a man.
Robert W. Hirsh, the attorney representing the women, spoke out Thursday night in a statement to Eyewitness News.
"The objectives of the case are to obtain fair and just compensation for the horrible injuries suffered by my clients as a result of the defendant's wrongful conduct, and to induce The Abbey and other nightclubs to provide proper security to protect patrons," Hirsh said.
One of the bar's employees was arrested but charges were never filed. The Abbey also issued a statement to Eyewitness News, saying:
"When the incident was brought to our attention, we cooperated fully with the local police on an investigation and no criminal charges were ever filed. We will continue to keep the safety of our customers and employees a top priority, as we have for the past 24 years."
Customers who frequent The Abbey were surprised by the allegations.
"The Abbey is a great place," said Valeria Fruge. "I've been there several times, I haven't had a problem."
Both women in the suit are seeking at least $10 million in damages.
