Perris shooting kills 2, injures 1; gunman at large

PERRIS, Calif.

The shooting happened at a home in the 300 block of Flicker Way shortly after 10 p.m. Friday.

Police say the suspects entered the house through the garage and shot the three men inside.

The surviving victim was found in the front yard and was rushed to an area hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound. He is expected to survive.

The two other victims were found inside the home and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police initially thought it was a home-invasion-robbery, but investigators now believe that's not the case. A stretch of Flicker Way was shut down as authorities conduct their investigation.

Animal Control officials took away five dogs from the house where the shooting occurred.
