Raisman and partner Mark Ballas paid homage to her best year, 2012, when she earned two gold models and a bronze at the Summer Olympics.

"For me, I don't feel like I could have done the dance any better," Raisman said. "I don't feel like I could have been any more into it, so that makes me happy."

One point behind her was Zendaya Coleman and partner Val Chmerkovskiy with 26 points out of 30 for her dance looking back at 2009, the year she was essentially discovered.

"I'm having a good time, I'm enjoying myself and I'm doing something different, and I get to do it with one of the best dancers ever,"Coleman said.

Tied for second with them were Kellie Pickler and her partner, Derek Hough. Pickler remembered 2011 as the best time of her life. She married the love of her life that year.

Jacoby Jones and partner Karina Smirnoff got triple eights for a fourth-place finish.

"He is incredibly deep, incredibly talented and I think we just started to uncover all of that depth," Smirnoff said.

In fifth was Ingo Rademacher and partner Kym Johnson. He scored his personal best, 23, for his Viennese Waltz.

"I think we did a really nice job and I really felt the dance," he said. "It was an emotional thing."

With 21 points were D.L. Hughley and Cheryl Burke. He upped his best game by five points to tie for sixth place this week.

"It felt natural from the time I heard the song to the time I saw the choreography," he said. "I got the choreography in a couple of hours and it's the first time I've ever done that."

Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess also scored triple sevens for the emotional dance for his daughter. It brought judge Carrie Ann Inaba to tears.

"I think it's honestly, she saw Andy for the first time laid his soul bare, just pure truth, no character," Burgess said about Inaba.
