At about 3 a.m. Sunday, Long Beach officers received a report about gunshots heard near Spaulding Street and Junipero Avenue.
Responding officers found an adult male victim lying on the road in the 1400 block of Junipero Avenue. The victim appeared to have a gunshot wound to his upper body, according to investigators. He died at the scene.
