'Gone Plaid Bandit' wanted for bank robberies in Los Angeles, Orange counties

LOS ANGELES

The bandit is among the FBI's top 10 most wanted bank robbers in Southern California.

Authorities say his last robbery was on April 27 at a U.S. Bank on North Larchmont Boulevard in Los Angeles. His previous heists have been in Orange County including Fullerton, Yorba Linda, Anaheim Hills, Irvine, Laguna Niguel and Marina del Rey.

The bandit is known to show bank tellers a note that reads, "This is a robbery. I have a gun. Don't do anything stupid. Just the 50s and 100s, no dye packs."

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s to 30s, weighing about 160 pounds, about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with brown hair.

In the last three robberies, authorities say the suspect used a skateboard to approach and leave the bank.

Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities.
