Investigators are looking for the cause of a military plane crash in Kyrgyzstan that killed three people, including two Southern California airmen.

Capt. Victoria Pinckney, 27, of Palmdale, died in the crash of a KC-135 aircraft Friday, along with Tech Sgt. Herman Mackey III, 30, of Bakersfield. The third victim was identified as Capt. Mark T. Voss, 27, of Colorado Springs.

Pinckney was the mother of a 7-month-old son and a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy.

The airmen were assigned to the 93rd Air Refueling Squadron and were on a mission to support military operations in Afghanistan.

The three airmen were from Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington state, the Department of Defense said Sunday.
