Car back window shot out while traveling on 101 Freeway; search for gunman under way

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

The shooting happened Thursday night near Alameda Boulevard and Main Street in downtown Los Angeles.

The driver wasn't hurt. He was able to exit the freeway in Chinatown and call for help.
