Investigators said they responded around 4:45 p.m. Saturday to a report of a dead body in a vacant apartment near the 1400 block of East Date Street.
When officers arrived, the door was open and they found the body of 33-year-old Clarence Jerome Baines Jr. He was on the floor with signs of trauma to his body.
