Man steals 50 pounds of BBQ meat from Montclair market

MONTCLAIR, Calif.

A man with multiple tattoos wearing a gray tank top walked into an independent meat market on Central Avenue near Bandera Street and ordered 50 pounds of marinated carne asada beef and chicken, according to Montclair Police.

The man picked up other BBQ-related items, then attempted to run out of the store without paying. A store employee attempted to stop the suspect and a fight ensued. The suspect freed himself and fled the store.

The man was last seen getting into a blue Dodge Durango that drove south on Central Ave. A second man may have been in the vehicle.

The suspect was caught on surveillance video.
