Ventura Police received a report of a strong-arm robbery on the 100 block of North Garden Street at 10:08 p.m.
Responding officers found a male victim at the scene. He told police he had just walked from the beach bike path to the street when five to seven Hispanic males attacked him. The suspects allegedly struck the victim with skateboards, knocking him down and kicking him.
The suspects then took the victim's money, credit cards and driver's license, according to police.
The victim was hospitalized and treated for a non-life-threatening laceration to the head and other injuries.
