The fire began near 700 Chantry Circle in Simi Valley.
The fire had burned about 8 to 10 acres by 2 p.m. before it was fully contained, according to the Ventura County Fire Department.
No injuries were reported. No structures were threatened and no evacuations were ordered.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
