Two male suspects, described as "gang member types" in their teens wearing black clothing, approached two male suspects in Memorial Park Monday night.
The suspect are believed to have been trying to rob the victims, police said.
At least one suspect fired a handgun, striking one of the victims in the torso.
The suspects were last seen running southbound out of the park.
The shooting victim was hospitalized at West Med Santa Ana and was in stable condition. He was expected to survive.
