An L.A. County Sheriff's deputy was summoned to the park by a call about a man who had sexually battered a girl at the pool, the department said Wednesday. The deputy contacted the victim, a teenage youth activities coordinator, at the location.
The suspect was still at the park and was detained at 4021 E. First Street.
Los Angeles resident Jamie Fernandez, 45, was arrested for sexual battery and held on $20,000 bond.
