According to the owner of the Chateau de Vallery, the two wed Saturday with 60 guests present. The ceremony ended with a dinner, an unusual fireworks display of water, fire and snow in the chateau gardens, and wedding cake.
Patrice Vansteenberghe said the actress and Martinez "were very beautiful and very happy." He wouldn't reveal who was at the wedding. He did say Berry donned a long, white dress with "a deeply plunging back," and she was coy and wanted to keep it from public view.
This is the third marriage for the 46-year-old Oscar-winning actress. She also confirmed her pregnancy in April of this year. In June, Martinez, 47, said their baby is a boy.
The princes and princesses of the Conde line from the 16th to early 18th century, are buried in the church facing the chateau and its chapel until the late 19th century, when it was given to the village of Vallery.
The oldest part of the chateau dates to the Middle Ages, but much of it was built during the Renaissance.
